Any progress on the localhost example?

I think I have everything set up ok, but can't get past the following issue in browsers and don't know if I have messed something up.

127.0.0.1 uses an unsupported protocol.

Would love to experiment with wildcard certs on localhost! It would be great to have examples on this.
